jm7965, We got the same email. DD called the financial aid office yesterday and that was sent out in error or was incorrect. The person she talked to in the office expressed frustration that it happened as they already have there hands full and now dealing with Covid19.
In my wolverine access, it still pops up that they need a signed 2018 Fed tax return. So do they not and that is a mistake? I did email the FA office yesterday but have not heard back.
You still need to send in tax returns and any other requested information, but the part about not finding out until July is apparently an error. On March 31 they requested our CSS profile form, which we provided back in October. Something is not in sync with there system.
They seem to be using a new system this year and might be some issues or crossover. Just find the email you sent and resend the information again if needed. They will get you your answer in time. I am sure that this virus is putting a strain on every college. They might be down staff etc. They will get you what they need. I am sure they are fielding more calls about financial aid now due to the virus affecting people’s incomes.
Has anyone received information about virtual admitted students presentations? We’ve gotten information from a lot of the other schools I’ve been accepted to, but can’t seem to find any information from UMich.
has anyone applied to an MLC? if so, how long did it take for them to give you your decision?
My son was accepted to University of Michigan and is considering taking a year off. I can’t find any information online about deadlines for doing that and how to do it. Anyone know?
@sbshoup on his umich portal, there is a section called “defer your admission” and I believe he just has to fill out and submit the deferment request form

Hi
My D was accepted EA to the RC, she heard back from RC very quickly…a week I think. She had to reply to confirm her interest and was informed that a spot was reserved for her. The formal admittance came a bit later.
Has anyone gotten their first-year housing applications yet?
Thank you! Do you have any idea if there’s a deadline for doing that?
Does anyone know at this point what second semester grades Michigan will be asking for?
@sbshoup. You would send your transcripts
Housing doesn’t come until May. Final Transcripts request from your high school counselor to send once finalized. Some schools don’t finish until mid June so doubtful deadline is before 7/1. Ask your UMich Admissions rep with questions.
Did anyone apply to the LSA Four Year Renewable Scholarships? I’m curious when those will be released.
@swimmergirl47 i got my four year renewable scholarship today!
I contacted LSA earlier, and they said that they would be released throughout this month on a rolling basis.
@hello121456 do you mind telling me if you received notification of it through email and how much was the value of the scholarship?
@applicants107107 I was notified through email and received $80,000 ($20,000/year)
@hello121456 what was the email subject line? Because I’m wondering if I have received one yet- thanks and congrats!
