Accepted University of Michigan Class of 2024

@dburner thank you! the subject line was “you have been selected for the [insert scholarship name] award!” - good luck!

@hello121456 Thanks!

Acceptances to the School of Education’s Pre-Admit program went out over the weekend. Congrats to all the TEPA admits!

lol whyyy did i just get an email directing me to resources for admitted transfer students?? i’m a first time freshman…

@20class2024. Maybe let them know so hopefully you didn’t get someone else’s email. Congrats BTW

Thank you! Also, has anyone admitted in the last March wave received their financial aid package?

Accepted at end of March and got financial aid package April 7th. Make sure you login and see if they need any additional information.

Just was notified that I didn’t receive any additional scholarships- making UMich probably a little too expensive for OOS :frowning:

@sbshoup Our school counselor told the seniors that anyone seeking a gap year/one year deferment needs to contact their AO immediately with a set plan of why they need it and what they will do during that time. Of course what you will do can change, but they need a set plan. He said then it is either granted or not. It is not a guarantee that it will be granted. He also said you can only request a deferral from one school and must decline all other offers once granted. Hope that helps.
It’s a tough year for colleges too.

I emailed my UMich Admissions counselor and he said that the Four year renewable scholarship application is also used for consideration for 40 other merit scholarships through LSA but he did not know when those scholarships would be announced if they haven’t already. Does anyone know if there will be additional scholarships announced?

when does housing application come out

how common is it to get off ross waitlist? didnt even know they had one

Does anyone have any information about the Ross waitlist? They were very ambiguous about the numbers on their website.

@mattsuss01 I got on the waitlist too. I don’t know anything about it - didn’t even know they had one.

Has anyone got their housing application yet?

No one has received their housing application yet.

There was also a big wave today of people getting off of the waitlist.

I saw some talk about it but I can’t seem to find the original post - what day do the dorms open? (If, of course, they open)

@nyc2018nyc I would just call up housing and ask. there are also some programs where you are able to move into the dorms early (i.e. through hillel).

Youll need to justify a gap year. I think even some current U of M students are considering this option if its decided to go with online instruction in the Fall. OOS tuition for online course work does not seem sexy to me. U of M has an incredible amount of energy on campus during the school year that goes beyond the lecture halls. Go Blue

My portal states that applications for randomized housing are due May 6. The housing website says they’re due May 13. I haven’t received my housing application yet, so I’m assuming (hoping) they’re due May 13?
