<p>My counselor said that she got a message from a Stanford admissions officer who told her that I had been accepted (as in decisions were sent in the mail—she was supposed to keep it undercover until they were released, but she couldn’t contain herself when I walked in for a check-up)

<p>Beware that when you get to Stanford you will probably no longer be a big deal, at least in the context of Stanford. Be prepared. You’ll understand why I say this a year from now.</p>
