Recommendations:
History Teacher: Um…liked me, very temperamental, but I applied through Questbridge and asked her since she’d done Questbridge recs before. Northwestern’s the only school that got her recommendation, and I never saw her letter.
English Teacher: He loved me and had me for two years. Really excellent recommendation based on the scholarship letter I read. (I assume they didn’t change much)
Counselor: They all like me enough; but not really personal relationships, they just see my grades and ecs.
Essays: Fairly good. I don’t think they tipped it either way. My ‘Why Northwestern’ essay was pretty good though, in my opinion anyway.
Hooks: I applied through Questbridge, which some schools like lot, I think Northwestern is one of them, since even though I didn’t get a Questbridge scholarship, they contacted me a few days later telling me I was still accepted without the scholarship. I’m also a woman going into engineering. I don’t know if that helped, but maybe? I also had a few of my aunts/uncles go there.

I had a weird situation because of Questbridge, so take all of this with a grain of salt. I honestly don’t know if I would’ve gotten in without Questbridge finalist stamped on my application to them. But I hope I helped, and if you have any other questions about stats feel free to ask me.
