Accounting 370s? Anyone taken them?

Hello. Just took the first semester of 370s… brutal, but rewarding, and I did WAY better than I thought! Love that curve! haha

But I was curious as to what the next sequence for the 370s are (371B, 372, 373) and, of course, any recommendations or tales of the 470s/other 400s classes?

Specifically, I’m REALLY REALLY interested in taking ACCT 478 next spring, my final year. Has anyone taken it? What is it like? I forgot Porter’s diagrams from 371A. Will I be in trouble?

Thanks! Enjoy the summer!

Next sequence is 371b/372/373. I took 371b literally right after 371a though to get it over with. I did 373/372/474/473/462 this last semester. I have a couple friends who took 478. That is the continuation of 371a/371b and is the class to take if you want to work in advisory versus audit/tax instead. Picking up process flow diagrams again is pretty easy.

Bob Kidoo is a pretty nice professor, you could easily email to see when he’ll be around and he’d be happy to talk to you about 478. Part of AIS is learning all about IT systems in relation to accounting and specifically ERP solutions. I think you end up heavily focusing on SAP which is one of the most popular ERP solutions today. Porter would be happy to talk to you about it too.
