I am currently undeclared, but looking through majors I am only interested in these two majors. The problem is that I am horribly horrible at math! Thus, I am scared for the accounting econ major. Also, I heard that the weeder classes are really tough for econ 1 and 2. I am a pretty smart person (if I may say so myself) but, I am no genius and I am scared I will be overwhelmed and not enjoy my time.

Does anyone have suggestions for the accounting/econ major… and info as far as what classes I should take as an incoming freshman?

In regards to Geography, what does it entail? How difficult is it? I am some what confused as to what goes into this major?

im just starting out in the geog major and i like it so far. its not that difficult, the GIS program is what I am going for and although i havent taken the classes yet, ive heard really good things about it. the pre-req for gis classes is a map making class geog 12, that is now taught online. and the gis classes is basically learning about the the applications that Esri makes like the ArcGIS, and learning that application. you dont have to be completely good at computers, if you are not that good with computers you will struggle in the beginning but be fine afterwards, this is what a guy has told me. and also the geography dept at ucsb is one of the best in the US and the professors that teach gis are top notch.
