If I am a junior majoring in accounting, and anticipate getting my masters after I graduate to meet CPA requirements, should I indicate that somehow on my resume while applying for internships?

If so, how would you suggest I add it?

Are you in a fast track program at your school? Or do you still need to apply?

If you’re already in the a program that combines undergrad and a masters in accounting, then I would state the on your resume. Otherwise, I’m not sure how important it would be to mention that you’re planning on getting a masters so that you have enough credits to sit for the CPA, it’s pretty much implied that you’re going into accounting with the intention of taking the CPA eventually.

Also, you could put your intention to pursue a masters in you summary/objective, but it might detract from more important things in terms of your experience and accomplishments. For my friends who are accounting majors, it doesn’t seem like there’s much of a premium for BS Accounting vs MS Accounting, so I don’t know if it would really be advantageous to put it down on your resume well over a year before you expect to start your masters.
