Accounting

I am debating the possibility of majoring or minoring in accounting in college. I have a few questions. Do you have to be a fast worker to be successful in this field? I ask because I work very slowly and am usually one of the last to be done on tests in school. I am a perfectionist so I constantly check everything and don’t read or work fast at all. Will this hurt me in this field? Also what would an accounting minor do for me?

I don’t know how long the tests are depends on the teacher, class, etc. But being able to go back and check your work many times and taking your time is very good in accounting. There are a lot of rules and procedures to remember which requires great accuracy.

Now if you decide to get a job in accounting, I have no idea how much time they will give you to finish your work.

I’m sure they wouldn’t mind you working extra hours to get the job done in a timely fashion if necessary :-)

Lol…yeah that is true.
