Accreditation Org Puts U-Va on Warning

[UVa put on warning by accreditation group - Daily Progress: Local](UVa put on warning by accreditation group)

Let’s be clear that UVa’s accreditation is not at risk in any way. The regional organization is telling the Board of Visitors that they should reform themselves, but this is not a risk to students or faculty. Hopefully, the Va. General Assembly will also act.

Do I think there is a likely chance in the near future that Virginia will lose its accreditation? No.

But there is always “risk.”

And the warning does involve varied associated consequences and ramifications.

There’s another discussion on this topic down thread started a couple of days ago when this news was fresh. You may have missed this GolfFather as the title was a bit more subtle. I agree with Charlie, this was aimed at the BOV and although not great for PR poses no risk to students or faculty.
