ACGrant

Has anyone received anymore information about this?

No, but it’s legit. So all I did was sign up for it.

What is ACGrant?

It is a $750 grant for Pell grant recipients who have completed a “rigorous high school program of study.” By this, they mean, like, took 4 years of english, 3-4 years of math, 3 years of science, et cetera. I don’t have it memorized. =p OR at least 2 3’s on AP tests. There is another way you can qualify for it, but it didn’t apply to me, so I don’t remember it at all.

So yeah, if you haven’t heard of it by now, you’re probably not getting it. =(

my feet are so itchy.

Oh. They are covered with bug bites. hahahha gross.

How did u come to know that u’d recieved it?
Could u post the link of the site that wud hv eligibilty etc. info on the ACGrant?
My high-school curriculum was pretty tough,4 yrs english,4 yrs math,4 yrs science,4 yrs foreign lang.,2 yrs engineering drawing, etc. etc.,only I attended high school abroad. So are only students who hv attended high school in CA eligible?
I could do with $750…

Well this grant is only for people who also received a Pell grant. I really don’t know about what your location has to do with anything. If you were eligible to get it, they would have told you months ago. =/

It’s pretty much for people that are pretty poor and took “rigorous” classes in high school.

Plus you should have recently gotten an e-mail from the U.S. Department of education.

I dont’ know about only CA students getting it. But I knew about it because they e-mailed me saying that I may qualify for it.

alrite so wats crackin wit dis acg?

i got a pell grant, and i just checked my e-mail for the ACG link to make corrections on my fafsa. i noticed dis thing was listed as unconfirmed for the last two months on tritonlink.

am i gonna get dis money? its a $1300 grant and would be nice for me…if i can get it…i would get a free ride if it works out

I am wondering about the ACG too…

I did the fafsa correction almost a month ago…and it still says “unconfirmed”… $1300(for second year student). that’s alot of money, and it better confirmed!

Dru2K: I didnt get u:
" got a pell grant, and i just checked my e-mail for the ACG link to make corrections on my fafsa. i noticed dis thing was listed as unconfirmed for the last two months on tritonlink."

Did you goto the FAFSA website to make corrections and u noticed the ACG Grant there? OR
Did u recieve an e-mail from the ACGrant ppl saying that u had to make a correction in ur FAFSA to recieve ur ACGrant?
and ur ACGrant showed “unconfirmed” on ur tritonlink official awrd page rite?

I got a pell grant too,and i had a tough high school syllabus,n i could really use that money, but i didnt get the ACGrant =(

what “correction” did you guys make on the FAFSA website??

cooladu:

i got the email from the U.S DoE that told me about ACG and gave me a link to FAFSA where i put in my info and made “corrections”. This was basically did I comepelte a rigours high school program , i clicked UC A-G requirements. and sent that ****

so apparently, if ur unconfirmed and u sent the corrections your still in the runnin for the grant cuz **** hasn’t been awarded yet

so cooladu: you aren’t rejected yet…

since i already complete my freshman year im considered a gradelevel 2 students.

only gradelevel 1 and 2 students are elgible. so that means if ur comin to ucsd ur elgible for dis **** automatically

if u finished a year at ucsd than u gotta have a minimum 3.0…

i think the requirements other than that are the same though

Thanks a lot, that post was really helpful, but the thing is I dont have the ACGrant listed in my FinAid award,so I’ll just get in touch with the FinAid office.
