Hey, I was just wondering which schools prefer the ACT over the SAT? I took the ACT once with minimal studying as a freshman (no essay) and got a 28, with a meager score in reading. I’m retaking in April with a month of hard work, and I am planning to get atleast a 32 (with essay). I recently took the SAT, which I got a 2160 (610CR, 800M, 750W w/ a 10 on the essay).

Those results were for January, and I recently retook in March. Would a 610 seem good to colleges, because I flunked the March test, considering my two other sections? How does a 2160 stand in schools such as UMich, BU, BC, NW, Tufts, etc.?

BTW I’m looking to major in premed, but perhaps I should change it to Chemical Engineering or some other science in order to boost my chance for acceptance :)

Thanks to everyone in advance!
