ACT Brain FREEEZZZ?

ok, i really need help on being mentally prepared…

i think i got the hang of it but ALWAYS, on a big test, i tend to freeze up or panic…

any helpful tips to prevent this?

this ACT is my last test so i really need to step it up big time!

I tend to freeze up when the first couple of questions I see are written in German (not really, but you get the jist). When that happens, I take a deep breath and then move on. Usually the questions will turn back into beautiful English and you can go back to the question(s) you skipped with a clearer mind. Good luck tomorrow!

It’s all about mentality. Pretend that this isn’t the real test, but a practice test where you’re trying your best to improve from the previous score. Tomorrow morning, do not think about the test, but carry on your daily morning routine. This lessens the pressure a little because you’ve been doing it everyday so it’s nothing new.

Yeah, the thing I really liked about the SAT is that the writing portion was first. Once my mind was motivated I was totally ready for the MC. Unfortunately, the writing is dead last and the English is first (at least have it be math)… Oh well, I think we will do fine. Unless you’re an illiterate lol

yeah…i always messed up the first few questions…ahhhh

It is so weird, EVERY pretest I take for English, my first 30-35 questions are only -3’s then the last 30 questions are about -7/-9. It is as if I concentrate the first half rather than the last half
