ACT breakdown

Do colleges typically look at the separate components of the ACT or the composite score?

It would depend on the program - ex. a student applying for Engineering may be expected to have higher math scores. My assumption is that for a majority of schools, the composite is weighted heaviest, followed by component scores. For schools like Georgia Tech, though, the Reading and Science sections of the ACT are nearly entirely ignored (<a href=“Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission”>Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission).

I know that this is not be the definite answer you may have wanted but I think that only insiders in the admissions process would be able to give you a truly accurate response.

thank you @EngineBus2015‌ , it definitely helped!
