Did anyone take the essay for the December 2012 Test? I would like to see what the official prompt was–can someone scan the page of the prompt to send me or post it here? My email is angelgirl1151 at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

Still looking…

I believe you can actually have them send you your actual essay. With that in mind, I do not have a scanner, but the prompt was:

Educators debate whether high school students should be allowed to listen to audio recordings of literary works instead of reading assigned works of literature. Some educators support allowing students to listen to audio recordings of literature instead of reading assigned works because they think audio books, like theatrical productions, offer a way to increase students’ interest in literature by bringing stories and literary characters to life. Other educators do not support allowing reading assigned works because they think that, in order to be best prepared for college or the workplace, students need to take every opportunity to work on improving their reading to listen to audio recordings of literary woorks instead of reading assigned works of literature?
In your essay, take a postion on this question. You may write about either one of the two points of view given, or you may present a different point of view on this question. Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

Thanks! Does anyone have a scanned version of it though? I’d like to have it with my exam, plus I think there is a part missing above…
