ACT English a bit unfair

You have 75 questions and 45 minutes to complete them. This seems a bit ridiculous. I missed 4 of the questions and recieved a 32 on a practice exam. How can I increase my score or move at a faster pace.

What types of questions did you miss? Rhetorical or mechanics? Mechanics is easy, as you can just learn it. If you missed rhetorical, read closer.
I think the English section has the most generous time constraint. Be sure to read everything, and when you read an underlined sentence, try to spot the error before you look at the answer choices.

If you can, you may also want to take more practice tests. You’ll most likely become more familiar with the format and improve your time on the test. That alone may bring your score up.

Something else that has helped me (last English was 35) is to read a lot on the days leading up to the test. You may be able to improve your speed a little bit, and you’ll be refreshing your memory with plenty of examples of correct usage at the same time.

A score of 32 is very good for your first practice test, anyway (98th percentile) and I bet you’ll improve on it by test day. Good luck!
