act english section 2012 february

discuss here

How was the English?

not too bad

Do you think it was similar to the practice tests? Did it have any weird concepts?

When can we start discussing?

We can start discussing now.

Ok so, one of the last questions about mom's hands and the sentence had dashes on it. What was it?

I didn't take the test, but I'm sure em-dashes are used to show extra information with emphasis.

The answer was the one with the dashes.

For #73 I think was is "stands" or "stand." The sentence had "stands" and I put no change. Anyone else?

What was the answer to the cradle question??

it was something like: cradle (no change), cradled, cradling

gets or got?

I put cradling I think.

i had cradling but changed it to cradle (no change)

I put "gets" but I don't remember the circumstances.

what about the last question on the test with the measurment? dont remember it exactly

There was one with two words at the beginning of the sentence and then the option to add a semicolon or a comma. I chose the comma but am worried it was a splice, I don't remember the words...

The answers were definitely cradling and stand.

Cradling was definitely correct

I agree with "cradling" as the correct answer.

Was could have one of the answers early on during the test?
