<p>Hmm, yeah, if it was asking for velocity, then that would make sense. I went back to that later on in the test and assumed flow rate meant the rate it exited, so i thought the widening of the diameter would allow them to come out faster. Any other confirmations?</p>

<p>I agree with anon9522. @jiamingchenwells, I was contemplating increased diameter myself but ultimately chose increased angle. I’m having a hard time thinking about other tough questions. In general, the passage with flux tripped me up. I was very confused on the what they were asking for. Two of the questions were asking about liquid and gas. But how were we supposed to figure that out? Also, what answers did you put for those?</p>

<p>Yeah, that’s correct. If you analyzed the information given in the graph, at 20 C, one of them had already changed into a gas because its boiling temperature was like… -1? While on the other hand, the other was still liquid, cuz its boiling temperature was 34 C or something.</p>

<p>I barely remember anything already, but I feel confident about the reading ( 29-30).
In terms of the passage about the girl and her friend, I can’t remember off the top of my head. What did you put for the question about the ice emerging from the ground? Or something along those lines? I think I put fascinating. The thermometer passage was mainly focusing on the concept that the main character used his thermometer to depict what was going on around him. That’s why he was descriptive of his surroundings. also, what did you guys put for the question in regards to the effects of the fog on the main character? Some of the answers were like “pursuing”, “suffocating”, and “lifting”. I thinkI put lifting because it talked about him feeling like he was moving, and then being on a boat.</p>

<p>I believe the options were along the lines of “impossible”, difficult" and I can’t recall the last one. I chose fascinating because I think the ice emerged from the ground during the summer, which is fascinating, haha.</p>

<p>You said lifting for the farm one? I put carrying. Lift makes it seem like he’s going up somewhere, but, if his house feels like a boat, then it makes sense that the waves carry the ship along.</p>
