ACT in lieu of SAT 2???

<p>I’m planning to apply early to a top school and got my results today for June Sat 2. I bombed chemistry which was supposed to be my third SAT 2. I plan to retake the SAT 1 in October so I can’t retake it again before the early decision deadline. </p>

<p>So my question is can I take the ACT in October and have it replace my third SAT 2 score? Will it affect my chances?</p>

<p>If the school accepts the ACT instead of SAT I and SAT II, then yes, it can replace all your SAT II scores.</p>

<p>If the school requires 3 SAT II scores regardless of whether you take the ACT or the SAT I, then no, it cannot replace the 3rd SAT II.</p>

<p>I think you can take the 11/3 SAT test and still be ok for early decision as long as you put that school on the list of score recipients.</p>
