I have been told that my D should take the ACT test is an area that would tend to have lower scores instead of at her own high school which is very competitive. The reason for this is for a better curve. I would think the ACT curves on a national basis not a local basis. Has anyone heard of this?

The ACT curves on a national basis and not even on the day of testing. The national curve is set long before the actual test date. It sounds like they are thinking about the PSAT.

The test site she chooses will have no impact on her ACT score.
