<p>The ACT National Profile Report for the Class of 2008 is available online. Over 1.4 million members of the class took the ACT, 120,000 more than the previous class. (Wonder why College Board is resurrecting score choice?) The average composite score was 21.1 (vs. 21.2 last year). The national average for the Writing section was 7.3. There were 429 perfect scorers. </p>
