ACT new writing test--timing?

ACT.org has a discrepancy in the timing for the new writing test, and I’m finding lots of test prep books for 2016 to have different timing indicated as well.

http://www.actstudent.org/testprep/descriptions/writingdescript.html says 40 minutes, but if you use this hyperlink in an email, the image generated says 30 minutes.

Kaplan 2016 says 30 minutes (page 254) Several other test prep sites also say 30 minutes. http://testprep.about.com/od/ACT_Writing/fl/Enhanced-ACT-Writing-Test.htm

Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

It’s 40 minutes for sure, per the ACT website. Kaplan isn’t affiliated with ACT, so the 30 mins is a typo.

It is 40 minutes. The Kaplan book is referencing the timing for the old ACT.

Another major error on Kaplan’s part. They just keep solidifying their status as worst test prep company.
