ACT -No Scores on the file Status?

What is no scores on the file status with below message?

There are no scores on file for you for this test date. Answer documents are not scored or scores are cancelled for a variety of reasons, including examinee illness, mistiming of the tests, disturbances or irregularities in procedures at the test center, and at the request of the examinee. ACT generally does not share the reason for a score cancellation with score recipients, but reserves the right to do so.

I remember in 10th grade when I took the ACT (school assigned) I got a 22, I cancelled immediately after I saw my terrible score. Maybe he/she voided it? If you were wondering I took the ACT over the summer and got a 34! For the Sept. ACT I was aiming for a 35 but instead got a 28. ;-; ;-; ;-;

Based on my research, my counselor, and a few others on CB, Ivy leagues and other top colleges request students to send in ALL test scores, even if they say “cancelled” on them. So tbh, voiding is better than cancelling test after results have been received.

Yikes. If your kid did not cancel their score on their own then I would ham him/her ask some of the other kids that took the test with at the same testing center if theirs was cancelled…Also you should get a free retest if the ACT cancelled them unless they think cheating was going on.
