My daughter was registered to take the ACT today. What a shock it was to go to the testing place and find out it was not being given today. All of San Diego county and Orange county did not get to take it today because of the fires/air quality. They haven’t yet determined a make up day for it, left as ‘to be determined’. What a shock this was! Has this ever happened before?

i think its the first time this ever happened since the fires are a first…

I wouldn’t say all in OC and SD.

I live in orange county and many areas around me (as well as my location) had to resume testing. I believe a lot of the locations got relocated to where I was taking to the test.

i live in so cal and took the test today at foothill high school. In fact, where i live (irvine) was impacted by the fire (no schools, etc). I guess foothill determined it was far enough from the fire.

the ACT website had a list of locations listed a day or two before the test that would have their testing date postponed.

In areas with snow, it is common for the ACT to be canceled and rescheduled 1-3 weeks later.

There were a few kids who got relocated to my testing center, but it wasn’t a huge number to my knowledge.
