ACT prep class needed?

Daughter took a SAT prep class and brought her score up 200 points…she is scheduled to take the ACT…does she need to take a prep class for the ACT too

Let her take one of the practice test and discuss after seeing the result

She can see a bigger improvement if she dedicates time to studying it by herself. I can guarantee you that she can improve by at least 2 points if her current score is in low to high 20s with just 20 hours of studying.

If she scored low 20, I can also articulate that she can improve by at least 4 points by getting used to the ACT but I do not know if she can get 30s by herself

ACT is more what you learned in school so I’m not quite sure how effective a prep. class would be. SAT has tricks to it which is why a prep. class may come in handy. I agree, have her take practice test and see. Merely taking practice tests and self-studying can be just as effective, if not more than a class.
