ACT Prose

why is the prose section hard in all prep books. all the other ones i read jus once and answer the questions. but for prose i always have to look back to it. how do u improve ur score in fiction if ur not a novel person because the onlyl novels i read are for school? other history stuff and science just come easy to me.

yea me too. I suck at prose section. I guess it’s because we read something out of no where. I have no idea who’s who… I think you just have to be really insightful and know what’s going on…

Some prep books suggest you make specific annotations for the prose section by jotting down the different characters, setting, conflict, pov, etc. If you’re able to keep these factors clearly in your mind, then you don’t need to write them down, but they’re usually the type of questions asked for/about.

i think the other sections are easier because you are really able to take notes on each paragraph. the prose, on the other hand, is usually just random dialogue, so you cant really jot anything down
