ACT question

I was checking out the practice act problems on the act website and they seemed so easy. I got every single one right. Is this idnicative of me getting a 36 on the act or are these questions just easier?

No. The questions on the ACT are [arguably] easier than the questions on the SAT, but when you take into account that the number of questions, and the time it takes to answer them, greatly outweighs the amount of time you have, it sort of balances out.

I think the ACT tends to be more concrete and fairer to math and science type people (they weight half of it math and science and the other half to reading and writing, rather than the SAT’s 2/3 to reading and writing and 1/3 to math).

It’s probably indicative of you doing relatively well on the test, but it’s extremely hard to get a 36. You will likely miss a problem simply due to fatigue or something (the sections are very long), and some of the question can be pretty difficult.

Also, you have to consider the difficulty of the test you catch. Your score on ACT is determined by how everyone else does. So, if you catch a really, really easy test, it will have an extremely harsh grading scale, meaning those few careless mistakes you might make will make your score plummet. If you catch that really difficult test, the grading scale will be much more forgiving.

So, even the easy test isn’t so easy. ACT can be tricky.

why would you…ask this question? just take it and find out
