<p>I know the test is in two days and all, but what are your guys strategies for the Reading portion? If you could go into detail for each one that would be awesome!</p>
<p>make sure to finish EVERY passage in 4 minutes. read really fast.</p>
<p>I never did this before but when I did, my scores increased by like 9 points. Make notes on the side. It helps you focus and not just skim and get nothing out of it.</p>
<p>Barrons put it well. Pretend like the passage and questions are like video cameras. You look at the whole thing (how many paragraphs, how big they are, etc) and then you zoom in one more. You focus on the main ideas of the paragraphs while tying it into the main plot of the “movie”. For vocab questions or line specific, you just zoom in again and focus on how the word or phrase interacts with its surroundings.</p>
