ACT Registration help

Hey this seems like a stupid question.

I don’t understand why Princeton Review’s prep book says it’s optional to put the school ID if you want to recieve your scores or something. It sounds pretty confusing.

if you put your school I.D., your score gets sent to your school and it is printed on your transcript (my school does this). sometimes, it may reach your school before it does you, and i’ve heard that you can ask your counselor to tell you what it is. i’ve never tried this. if you do not put your school I.D., your score only gets sent to you and no one else. (personally, i regret putting in my school I.D. because all of the scores from the times i’ve taken it are on my transcripts now, and i have to go ask my counselor to keep only the highest.)

i’m assuming PR is just stating that if you want to be the only recipient of your scores, don’t put your school I.D.
