<p>Hi, I signed my junior D up for the ACT. There were a lot of questions about her interests, classes taken, etc. that I left blank for now. Can anyone tell me what do they do with that information? Does it matter if you never fill it in? Thanks.</p>
<p>If you checked off the box to receive information from colleges and other organizations, then that is where most of the information will be going. Colleges send information in the mail and through email to students who have specific interests, majors, etc…</p>
<p>Thanks. What I was concerned about was that colleges would be getting all this information and using it in the admissions process in some way. Sounds like they don’t.</p>
<p>Some people typically don’t put any info down, I regret doing so on the PSAT and stuff as I’m getting hoards of emails and letters telling me to look at their “5-Steps to a Future” or something like that.</p>
<p>It is just a marketing tool for junk email.</p>
