Does anybody know the average gpa and act/sat score average for oos/intl students?
If anybody knew, it would be common knowledge. Michigan does not publish this data.
OOS students these days will likely have slightly higher average GPA/Test scores than the Michigan average, but it could vary based on many other factors, such as the applicant’s school and curriculum, state of residence, race, socio-economic background etc…
For international applicants, test scores are not as important. Obviously, Michigan will still expect good scores on standardized tests, but they will be more forgiving of a low-ish critical reading score (at least 28 on the ACT and 600 on the SAT will still be expected). However, international applicants will still be expected to take as challenging a course load as possible in high school (IB Diploma with a predicted total of at least 38 out of 42, 4 A Level with at least an A*AAB predictions if from the British system, Bac S with an average of at least 15 if from the French system, mostly APs in Junior and Senior year if at an international American high school etc…)
I see. Do you know anything about the requirements/expectations of the German Abitur? @Alexandre
