If I am shooting for a college in the 2000-2100 SAT range, but I have a 1930, I know that I can still apply to the school as a reach and not be completely out of the running. If a school had an ACT range from 28-31, what kind of score could I get and still be within reach of it? How many points away from the average is too many points?

for the act?? if the range of a school said 28-31 u should try to get a 30 to be somewhat safe

no but like…what kind of score would be too low to even try for that school. Like, I know that if a school has a SAT range of 2000-2100, I can’t really expect to be accepted if my score is below 1900 or so. How many points below the average ACT score can my score be?

no more than 2 points lower would be a reasonable guess

i say u don’t have a chance if u make like a 25

It depends on the school… How selective they are… But numbers aren’t always everything…
