ACT score requirement

I just have a quick question about the ACT score requirement. On the Pitt website, it says that the only scores that are looked at on the ACT are the English and Math scores. So this means that if I have a 33 in English and 20 in Math, the score that Pitt will consider is a 27?

I’ve said this before but in my daughter’s case, she only took ACT and for orientation both her english score and math score were listed in a conparable SAT score - eg 36 would be listed as 800. So I believe there is not composite or blended score but an SAT- equivelent score.

Only 5% of freshman students on Common Data Set 2014-15 had a math ACT score of 18-23 and 0% lower than that. So maybe you might want to practice and retake ACT?
