Act score

so I got a 16 in the ACT. I know It is horrible. Now what do I do. I’m a senior.

Some schools’ deadlines are in February, so you may have time to retake it.

If that is not an option, I suggest looking in to test-optional schools and quickly! These schools do not require you to submit standardized test scores, but may ask you to submit an extra essay in lieu of test scores.

I’m going to need more information in order to give you decent advice to help you, but this is what I can give you right now.

Like @Latin4life said, there are some schools that will take ACT scores from February; I know some schools in Alabama (where I live) do that (UAH (University of Alabama at Huntsville) and Auburn are two that I know of). Some schools will even still award scholarships to you (UAH does this in my home state). @Latin4life is also correct about test-optional colleges; I don’t know of any of the top of my head, but I’m sure there are some good ones.

I know nothing about you, but you may be like some of my friends, where college is being pushed on them by their parents/society when it may not be the best fit for them. Blue collar jobs do pay very well, and you can become successful going to a technical/trade school. With a 16 on your ACT (idk if you had a bad day or test anxiety… I don’t know you personally or what you’ve had to deal with, and you may be far more intelligent than your score implies) that may be an option that you at least consider/look in to.

Thank you so much. I really don’t know why I got that. I don’t do well in tests like those. I love in California. My parents really want me to go to Azusa pacific. I doubt il be accepted. everyone has told me that. So I guess community college is where il have to go.

I also got a 1180 in the SAT. Which again is bad. My gpa is a 2.6 because I never really planned on going to a university after high school. But now my parents really want me to so it’s a butto late for me to raise my gpa.
