ACT Scores: Applying to Schools, and How it Works?

I am retaking the test in June, but I don’t understand what I’m trying to do. I am retaking it because I heard that when I apply to private schools, I can pick and send individual subscores from the different subjects… is this true?

And if that is true, is it worth it to just focus on the Science and Math section for the upcoming test?

If you are taking the time to answer, please be thorough in your explanation, I would gladly appreciate it and like/mark as helpful.

You cannot pick and choose subscores to send. When you send your ACT score to schools, they see the whole thing. Some schools do superscore, though not all do. This means if you take the ACT again in June and score a 34 in science, but a 30 in all other sections, schools that superscore will consider the highest subscores, so in your case, 36, 33, 36, 34.
