ACT Scores

So, the first two ACTs I took I did not prepare for at all, and I took them in the same month (April) - one was a national date, one was a state test date. I got a 26 on both of them. However, again, I did not take them VERY seriously. The state test date was incredibly close to AP exams, and I weighed AP exams as more important than something I could prepare for over the summer and retake in September, which I did (Sept 24). Anyway, both “26” scores are on my transcript, and I don’t think the Sept test score will be on there in time to apply EA Nov 1… will this hurt my chances? Should I appeal to have both of those scores removed?

I will be very surprised if my ACT score from Sept is not in the 28-30 range, so not significantly raised, but still better than the two scores that will appear on my transcript…

And if the score IS on there in time, my district always keeps two scores on there, so should I appeal to have the 26 removed regardless if it’s on there or not?

Did you request that the scores be sent to your high school? If not you may be okay. Your Sept scores probably will be available. You can have them sent priority mail or overnight, I believe, once they are available. With the ACT, only the score you send is the score they see unless somehow it is recorded on your transcript. My S’s score was not, but perhaps for some it is. Check on it.
