ACT - should I submit my score blind?

I am taking the ACT tomorrow…since I am doing ED/EA for some schools, I am just wondering if it is a MUST that I have to write down those colleges’ names and submit my scores blind tomorrow. I had taken the test before and got a pretty good score…all except for science. I am scared that I might get a worse score tomorrow cuz I am sick, but at the same time I need a higher science score in order to bring my superscore up to the high 30s.

And on a side note, when colleges say that ACT can substitute for SAT II subject tests, do they really mean it? or is this something that they say is “optional” but actually mean that SAT IIs are “highly recommended”? thanks!

no you can submit them after you get your scores. and with the act you can choose which tests you want to send. about the sat IIs, it is really optional but competitive schools like to see that you’ve taken at least 2. but yes, the act is a substitute for subject tests at many schools…they wouldn’t offer this option to students if it would hurt a student’s chances at getting in.

I was just worried that they wouldn’t get in on time for ED/EA if I don’t put the school names down by tomorrow =
idk…I have several high scores for SAT II, but I am just worried that they’ll see that I bombed math 2C :frowning: I know that they only take top 2 scores, but I would think that they would glance at other scores as well?
