Looking for recommendations for test prep services/classes in the San Diego area. We used and loved Cristin McVey in the past but she is not currently holding classes.
(I happen to live in SD and have heard/experienced a wide variety of things about test prep)
Hamilton College Consulting: Pretty decent test prep. They’ve churned out good scores. I took a summer program with them and scored 35/1560. Very friendly and the teachers are awesome to work with. Only downside is that their best test prep options are in the summer. They do have tutoring though. Also it’s on the more costly side
Elite: (affectionately known as the disowned parent of HCC by my peers) They’re a bit more based on the drill and memorize methods. I’ve heard from some peers that the classes tend to be a bit dry. But the teaching is high quality and less costly than HCC. They’ve also had their fair share high scores.
There’s also a good amount of tutors floating around. You’d have to do some investigating though. Good luck!
