I am terrible at the Science section of the ACT. does anyone have any tips on how to approach it? the reading as well, do you read the whole passage or how do you approach that as well?
It depends how well/fast you can read AND comprehend a passage. If you are a slow reader or need to read over a section more then once, read the blurb at the top about the passage and look at the questions first. Find questions that have line numbers and answer those first. Leave rhetoric questions last and skim the passage. My best advice is to take practice test to learn how to par yourself.
For science, do passages with easy to read graphs first. Don’t spend time reading all the unnecessary information in the passage. Also, mark the trends in the graph. However, to make a good sized increase in your science score you really need to take practice tests
