Hello, I am thinking of taking SAT (new) instead of ACT.
I got 29 on ACT with sub-scores of ENG 31 MATH 32 READING 21 SCI 30. I took this a year ago.
The question is if I plan to take SAT this August, do you think I can get 1500+ studying SAT from now to the test date?
I was too pressured by reading test since it required speedy reading skill and problem solving.
In addition, can you give me some advice on tackling SAT.? Thank You!
Personally I think you might be better off staying with the ACT and trying to SuperScore up. Just hammer the Reading! Read constantly and use all the on-line tools you can. Its surprising there is such a big gap between Reading and Science, and Reading and English. You need some test prep on how to tackle the Reading questions and just bump up to a 27/28.
Do a practice test on both to see which one you may do better. There are free practice tests online. You should also check your school or public libraries.
