Son has 2170 SAT and 34 ACT. Which would be better to report?
I see three choices, based on the fact that you have said in another thread that your son was taking two Ivy OVs (official visits) in September:
- Be consistent with the score you sent each school to qualify for the OV
- Be consistent with the score you sent to each school for the academic pre-read if that was different from #1
- Send the higher score, which can be found by Googling SAT ACT concordance tables
I have no proof, but I am guessing inconsistency would not be a problem and the higher score is the way to go. I also guess one of the results just came in or the higher score would have been sent before
Both are great scores but the ACT is better.
Just checked ACT:SAT conversion and ACT is much higher.
@fenwaypark yes he took ACT in September just to see if he could raise score since SAT fall dates are too late for ED/EA
Thanks for feedback!
