<p>does penn state require both the sat and the act or does just the sat work? i’ve done both but don’t have my scores yet for the ACT.</p>
<p>They require either/or. My daughter took the SAT’s and had her scores sent, but then took the ACT’s and did much better on those so she had those scores sent as well. From what I understand, regardless of what you send them, they will take the better score to use for your application. They do not superscore the SAT. Depending on how well you did on the SAT’s, that may be enough. If I recall correctly, the ACT scores came in pretty quickly - so you may just want to wait at this point and see which you did better on. There are conversion “calculators” to see what a particular ACT would generally correlate to in an SAT. It’s not a perfect science, but it does give you an idea anyway. </p>
