Act w/writing or SAT 1?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I will become a high school junior in September…and I’ve been studying for SAT 1’s and also ACT w/Writing…and I was wondering if NYU Stern or any colleges preferred one over the other…because I tend to score much much better on the ACT w/writing than the SAT 1’s.</p>

<p>I also have a SAT Math 2c Subject test I got a 800…and I live in New Jersey and I heard that many eastern states take and prefer the SAT’s and the western and mid-western states prefer the ACT…but I would like to apply for NYU Stern as my first choice…</p>

<p>Despite the popularity of the SAT or ACT geographically, colleges don’t really prefer one over the other.</p>

<p>P.S If it helps, I know people from NYC who got into NYU with the ACT and others with the SAT.</p>
