Hey… well here in the caribbean, the ACt test is ofered without writing, and all the colleges require the wriitng section. The amount i paid for the test cannot be refunded… should i still do the test on Saturday, or just skip it. The teacher here told us that we can write a letter stating how it wasnt offered here in the caribbean ect… just lookin for some advice… please help… thanks!!:)

yaa muunnnnnn

if there is no act with writing in the carribian, (i doubt thats the case) then dont worry about it. if you just didnt sign up for it, go and take the test anyways. you might be able to convince them to switch you to the act plus writing test if you go. dont skip it if you are ready to take it. good luck!

Shark_bite, it’s true that the writing test is not currently offered outside the US. You can’t show up and ask for it because they don’t have the materials. I am sure that US colleges requiring the writing test make an exception for foreign students–otherwise they wouldn’t have any foreign students. Reshy, check with each school you want to apply to. They may waive the requirement, require you to take a different test, or let you take the ACT with writing through residual testing at the institution once you enroll.
