<p>I know many colleges ask for ACT with writing. However, I just got back my score (a 33.5), and I’m almost positive that I flunked the essay pretty badly. Not only did I finish with 5 minutes extra (wrote too little), I didn’t know what the ACT was looking for in terms of writing. Obviously my writing score hasn’t come out yet. Should I sign up for the October ACT to retake the writing? How much does writing on the ACT really matter?</p>
