I have applied early decision to Duke and took the ACT with writing on the 25th of October. I have already received my multiple choice scores, whereas the ACT website says the writing scores are coming out in 2 weeks or so. The problem is, the Duke applicant page says that all outstanding material needs to be in by the 17th of November and my ACT writing would obviously not be ready by then. Given that the Duke ED page says the latest date to take the ACT is on the 25th, how would I get around this? Surely Duke wouldn’t penalize me, if I did everything that was asked of me. note: I already put Duke as the recipient for my ACT scores when they come out and my applicant page still says that testing part of my application is incomplete.
Thanks in advance.

I am in the same boat, although my ACT writing from October has been posted with my multiple choice. If everything I’ve read about the Duke admissions office stands true, I think they’ll understand that ACT score processing is slow. I wouldn’t worry about it since you’ve done everything you can. If you’re really concerned, call the admissions office.

To update, everything worked out alright. My writing score arrived on the 17th and was sent off. Good luck everyone else who is applying.
