NYU’s ACT range is a 29-32ish for the middle 50%.

My ACT is a 28, but I also have a perfect writing score (12/12). I know NYU looks at the writing section - obviously this will help, but do you think it’s going to be good enough with a 3.66 GPA (their average is a 3.6 flat I believe).

A 12 is certainly excellent, but I think they will be more interested in the quality of your essays. Many schools take the writing portion with a grain of salt. They view the 20 minute essay as very rigid and not necessarily indicative of good writing.

In the scheme of how they consider academics, the writing sub-score for essay will not have much weight.
