I took the writing test in October and got a 12 on it, but I really don’t know how impressive this is. Does anyone have any idea how Yale regards a perfect writing score. I have to believe that many many others will get 12s, but I just hope it means something other than just fulfilling a testing requirement.

I think Yale will consider all parts of each application. The writing score looks good, but put it in perspective: It’s a number given by two readers on a simple thirty minute pencil scramble. By the way, good job, though! I hate timed/standardized tests. I did really well, but not perfect.

Thanks Iowagal. I was pleasantly surprised.

yea… I wonder how many other people received perfect writing scores for the sat… no way to tell yet though

i did! haha

yea, when do they post percentiles from the new writing section–more importantly, the essay?

I did not get perfect. :)

When do you get the ACT writing score? Obviously I already checked multiple choice… but when/how do you get the ACT writing score?
