<p>Can anyone tell me how much importance schools place on the writing portion of the ACT?</p>

<p>Basically as long as you get above a 6 or 7, most schools don’t care. They just want to make sure you can write and that someone didn’t write your college essay for you. It says what they use it for on common data sets.</p>
