Hello. I am sixteen. I have participated in my states drama districts competion (excellent and superior) and participated in some community theatre. i would like to audition for admission to one of the prestigous acting schools (suny, jilliard, tisch etc.) but i dont know if i would have the money to go to the audition or even attend the school( my parent are not well off). I was reading an article that talked of a place where you can audition for many of the new york schools in one place. Does anyone have any info on that? I also would like to know if you are accepted to one of these school do you recieve scholarships to help pay for your schooling? ANY info would be highly appreciated

(2) Unifieds are the auditions your are asking about. You may arrange auditions from multiple schools at one location… although, not all of the schools you mention may attend unifieds. [National Unified Auditions](http://unifiedauditions.com/universities.html) Some schools do audition in those cities at the same time as unifieds, however.

(3) go to the Theatre and Drama Majors forum search the threads, you will find a lot of information there – [Theater/Drama Majors - College Confidential](Theater/Drama Majors - College Confidential Forums) You will also find info on the Musical Theatre Majors forum – [Musical Theater Major - College Confidential](Musical Theater Major - College Confidential Forums)

PS. Some schools have scholarships, but many will expect you to pay a large amount towards the cost of attendance. Most students need to balance out their list with financial and academic safety schools (schools that they know they can afford based on guaranteed full ride for their stats and/ or meet full need without loans [if the family has a low EFC], cost of attendance that the family can meet, no audition, and a school the student would be happy to attend.
