Just texted DS – he is inside, safe – at first I thought it was someone on campus. This article mentions no shots were fired but I guess once you start waving a gun you’re considered an active shooter. So scary!

“Active shooter” does not require a gun. Just someone engaged in killing or trying to kill people in a confined or populated area. You could have an active shooter with a knife.

Wow! Just returned home an hour ago from a fabulous trip to Charleston to see the total eclipse. We dined along King Street. Has anyone heard which restaurant it is?

So sad! I don’t know what the shooter’s issues were but my heart goes out to the victim’s family.
The shooter was a dishwasher who was fired recently. Went into the restaurant and killed the chef. My son attends college 4 blocks from the restaurant . Very tense day for this momma.
